1/2 cup cooked unsalted navy beans (or use cannellini beans)
1/2 cup blanched almonds or cashews
1 Tbsp salt
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 medium raw onion
1/2 tsp minced garlic
2 cups water
1. Liquefy all ingredients. Heat until thickened.
Try adding a can of mushrooms to the mixture after blending, or add fresh mushrooms. Sprinkle with chives.
