Carob Cake
Ingredients
- 1⅔ cup whole wheat pastry flour (or unbleached combination)
- 1 cup sucanat
- 3 tbsp carob powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup water
- ⅓ cup canola oil
- ½ tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, Sucanat, carob powder, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl mix the oil, water and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until most lumps have disappeared. Pour into grease square pan 8" x 8" x 2" Bake immediately. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 35 to 40 minutes.
