- 1 2/3 cups whole wheat pastry flour (or unbleached combination)
- 1 cup Sucanat
- 3 tbsp carob powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350F. Mix flour, Sucanat, carob powder, salt and baking powder in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl mix the oil, water and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until most lumps have disappeared. Pour into grease square pan 8″ x 8″ x 2″ Bake immediately. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 35 to 40 minutes.
