Vegan Ketchup

A very good base recipe. Have you ever wanted to make your own ketchup? Maybe you’re worried about the ingredients or if the sugar was filtered through bone char? Here is a recipe for vegan ketchup that will pass the most scrutinizing ketchup connoisseur.

You can add some of this Vegan Ketchup to your favorite vegan mayo and make Maychup makes for a different dipping sauce I use it for french fries, Gardein’s vegan Fishless fillets and Breaded Chicken Tenders.


6 oz can tomato paste (nonseasoned)
15 oz oz can tomato sauce (seasoned)
½ tsp Herbamare
3 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for a sweeter taste
For a more Heinz ketchup taste add
1 pinch ground clove
1 pinch cinnamon powder
For spicy ketchup add
1 tsp sriracha or other preferred hot sauce


Remove tomato paste from the can.

Mix all ingredients together.

Whisk with a metal fork or whisk. Add to a jar for storage.
