Vegan Ketchup

A simple recipe for vegan ketchup made with pantry items. A very good base recipe. Have you ever wanted to make your own ketchup? Maybe you're worried about the ingredients or if the sugar was filtered through bone char? Here is a recipe for vegan ketchup that will pass the most scrutinizing ketchup connoisseur.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz. can tomato paste (non-seasoned)
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce (seasoned)
  • 1/2 tsp. Herbamare
  • 1 tbsp. vegan sugar
  • 3 tbsp. lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for a sweeter taste

For a more Heinz ketchup taste add

  • 1 pinch ground clove
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder

For spicy ketchup add

  • 1 tsp. sriracha or other preferred hot sauce

Instructions
 

  • Remove tomato paste from the can.
  •  Mix all ingredients together.

Notes

You can add some of this Vegan Ketchup to your favorite vegan mayo and make Maychup makes for a different dipping sauce I use it for french fries, Gardein's vegan Fishless fillets, and Breaded Chicken Tenders.
