Vegan Ketchup
A simple recipe for vegan ketchup made with pantry items. A very good base recipe. Have you ever wanted to make your own ketchup? Maybe you're worried about the ingredients or if the sugar was filtered through bone char? Here is a recipe for vegan ketchup that will pass the most scrutinizing ketchup connoisseur.
- 6 oz. can tomato paste (non-seasoned)
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce (seasoned)
- 1/2 tsp. Herbamare
- 1 tbsp. vegan sugar
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for a sweeter taste
For a more Heinz ketchup taste add
- 1 pinch ground clove
- 1 pinch cinnamon powder
For spicy ketchup add
- 1 tsp. sriracha or other preferred hot sauce
You can add some of this Vegan Ketchup to your favorite vegan mayo and make Maychup makes for a different dipping sauce I use it for french fries, Gardein's vegan Fishless fillets, and Breaded Chicken Tenders.
