Vegan Carrot Hotdogs
Ingredients
- 8 large carrots
- 8 vegan hotdog buns
Marinade:
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ cup soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp steak sauce or vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp ketchup or tomato paste
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Wash the carrots well leaving the peel on if you like to have a more realistic skin on the carrot dog. Or you can peel them too.
- Roast the carrots in the oven for 15 minutes at 420°F.
- Marinate the carrots in the marinade mixture for 15 minutes or until they are soft.
- Reheat the dogs up to the desired temperature, place one in a bun, add condiments, and Enjoy!
