Vegan Carrot Hotdogs

Perfect for the dog days of summer. Tips: After placing the carrots in the marinade you can refrigerate up to a week until you are ready to serve.


8 Large Carrots
8 Vegan Hotdog buns
1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp onion powder
½ cup soy sauce or tamari
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tbsp ketchup or tomato paste
1 cup water


Wash the carrots well leaving the peel on if you like to have a more realistic skin on the carrot dog. Or you can peel them too.

Roast the carrots in the oven for 15 minutes at 420 degrees fahrenheit.

Marinate the carrots in the marinade mixture for 15 minutes or until they are soft.

Reheat the dogs up to the desired temperature, place one in a bun, add condiments, and Enjoy!
